The Astros stayed undefeated, this time knocking off the other undefeated team in the tournament. Jason Revesz pitched all five innings in the run-ruled game, giving up two runs on five hits while striking out eight and walking three. John Beatty had a solo home run and double and two RBIs while Wyatt Montgomery hit two triples for three RBIs. G.J. Senchak hit a two-run inside-the-park home run and scored twice. Matt Nestor suffered the loss for Oakland. Matt Rodgers and Steve Morse each had a hit and scored a run while Blaise Salter added a hit and an RBI for Oakland.

Vipers 12, Team Ohio 3
Oakland and the Vipers were tied, 9-9, in the fifth inning when lightning and rain suspended the loser’s bracket final Saturday night. The game will resume today at 12:30 p.m. with the winner playing undefeated Astro Falcons at 3 p.m. for the championship. If necessary, another game will be played at 5:30.

Joe Cunningham picked up the win and Dan Ferguson led Astro with three hits including a two-run homer and a triple. Austin Beil had three hits including two doubles. Tyler Wiery had three hits and Ryan Brumbaugh two including a double. Brumbaugh drove in three runs while Nico Dianni scored three runs.
Beaver County 7, Action Physical Therapy 3
The loss eliminated Action. Brooks Pletcher had three hits while Harrison Wagner hit a RBI triple. Christian Porterfield hit a RBI triple. Clayton Covalt picked up the win for Beaver County and had two hits including a double and three RBIs.

Joe Cunningham suffered the loss for Astros, who were eliminated. Ferguson had two hits, including a double had an RBI while Dianni doubled and knocked in a run. Wiery and Brumbaugh each had a hit and an RBI. Jared Shape picked up the win for Delweld. Ian Helsel had four hits, including a triple, three runs scored and two RBIs while Josh Prasko also had four hits.

Joe DiLoreto picked up the win by scattering five hits and striking out four. Mike Watson came on in the seventh inning to record the save. DiLoreto and Dylan Sargous each had a hit and scored a run in the victory against Springdale.
Pitzulo Homes 4, Premier 3
Pitzulo advanced to the Palomino final by defeating Cleveland Premier. Nate Homan, Vince Pitzulo and Mike Watson combined for a three-hitter. Pitzulo picked up the win while Watson picked up his second save. Anthony Clinkscale and Joe DiLoreto each had two hits.
Pitzulo plays this afternoon with a chance to win the event.

In Canfield’s first at bat, Jacob Cummings’ ground-rule double over the center-field fence scored Mark Wittman and Jake Kuchmaner. The next batter, Cody Holland, knocked a home run to bring to slice Mt. Vernon’s lead to 6-4. In the fifth, Kuchmaner’s two-run homer pulled Canfield within 13-6. Mt. Vernon stopped Canfield’s rally in the sixth with two on. Mt. Vernon had 13 hits to Canfield’s seven. Canfield faces Wheelersburg today at noon.
