MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance. Transportation is available for those 60 or older; call 330-884-2511 to set up. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, July 27: Pork roast with gravy, spudsters, oriental veggies, cherry tomatoes, bread with margarine, cloud cake or sugar-free cookie, and milk.

Thursday, July 28: Barbecue chicken strips, veggie blend, sliced carrots, unsweetened pears, chocolate cupcake or sponge cake, bread and jelly, and milk.

Friday, July 29: Breaded fish on a bun with tarter sauce, green beans, California blend, banana and milk.

Saturday, July 30: Chicken breast, baby carrots, coleslaw, pineapple juice, orange, bread, mayo packet and milk.

Monday, Aug. 1: Chicken breast, roasted potatoes, green beans, diced unsweetened pears, cookie, pineapple juice, bun and milk.

Tuesday, Aug. 2: Cheese omelet, turkey sausage, silver dollar pancakes and syrup, unsweetened applesauce, orange, fat-free banana muffin and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal.

Wednesday, July 27: Mild rope sausage, peppers and onions, french green beans, potato spudster, hot dog bun, cherry gelatin with fruit, sugar-free gelatin with fruit, and milk.

Thursday, July 28: Chicken Parmesan with sauce and provolone cheese, penne pasta with sauce, cauliflower, wheat bread with margarine, golden apple, grape juice, and milk.

Friday, July 29: Barbecue riblet with sauce, scalloped potatoes, broccoli, coleslaw, Diamond Jim bun and milk.

Monday, Aug. 1: Chicken quarter, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, rye bread with margarine, diced peaches and milk.

Tuesday, Aug. 2: Swedish meatballs, noodles with gravy, unsweetened applesauce, diced carrots, wheat bread with margarine, orange and milk.
