Greatest, YSU golf start partnership

Greatest, YSU golf start partnership

The Greatest Golfer of the Valley has quickly vaulted to the top of Valley golf happenings, and we’re proud of that at The Vindicator, Farmers National Bank, Superior Beverage, Mark Thomas Ford and Cole Valley Cadillac.

We started Greatest as a way to celebrate valley golf. Another great valley golf component is Youngstown State University’s Division 1 golf program.

We’ve joined Greatest and YSU in a sponsorship program — the thought being that if you’re a business or individual who wants to support and invest in valley golf, we’ve paired the two premier programs. With one donation, you can help fuel both programs. For more information, email Jonah Karzmer at jonah@youngstowngolfassociation.com.

Registrations, Mill South update

Registrations for the Greatest Golfer of the Valley hit 160 players this week.

The top division for sign-ups continues to be the open division, which is approaching 40 players.

One neat Greatest trend : the various club champions who are making their way into the Greatest.

It’s shaping up to be a stellar field.

Don’t look for a Greatest trend in Super Bowl champs signing up. It’s a small club, and Tippecanoe’s Jeff Wilkins is in it. And he’s now in the Greatest Open division. Welcome Jeff.

A reminder for the golfers playing in Divisions 1, 2 and 3: The Mill Creek leg of the event will tee off on the South Course — not the North Course like last year. South — not North.
