Scrappers lose to State College in 10 innings

The Mahoning Valley Scrappers rallied from a 4-2 deficit entering the ninth inning but fell in 10, 5-4, to the State College Spikes, on Wednesday night at Eastwood Field.

Todd Hankins led off the bottom of the seventh with a solo home run to make it 4-2, where the score remained until the ninth. Tony Wolters doubled in a run to cut the deficit to 4-3 and Jake Lowery hit a long sacrifice fly to tie the game at 4-4.
