Registration deadline nears for GM Lordstown open house

LORDSTOWN

Time is running out to register for next week’s open house at the General Motors Co. Lordstown facility.

Nearly 5,000 have registered, said Tom Mock, Lordstown spokesman, and only about 1,000 spots remain.

Registration is required by Friday at any of the 18 Chevrolet All-Star dealerships in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

The open house is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 28. Participants can sign up for tours of the east and west complex. Each tour lasts approximately 30 minutes.

The event will include a display of the new 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, a Volt electric car and a chance to win a Cruze.
