A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

July 7

Warrant: Police arrested Dawn Paulin, 32, of 5064 State Route 170, East Palestine, and Melissa Mills, 27, of 4210 Benton, Salem, on Mayor’s Court warrants.

July 10

Domestic violence: Police charged Stephan Blanchard, 23, of 344 Melrose Drive, Boardman, with the crime after his arrest at a home in the 10 block of Brookpark Road.

Drug abuse: Police charged Kevin Pontius II, 27, of 3894 Indian Run Road, Canfield, with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse for possession of a vial with suspecte cocaine residue after his arrest at Broad Street and Fairground Boulevard.

July 11

Warrant: Police arrested Lindell Brown, 35, of 4046 Jefferson Court, Youngstown, on a Youngstown warrant.

July 13

Telecommunications harassment: A Carriage Lane woman reported receiving telephone threats from a tenant of a property she owns.

Drug abuse: Police charged Jamar Martin, 29, of 1334 Dogwood, Youngstown with drug abuse and possession of dangerous drugs after police found two plastic bags of suspected crack cocaine and four prescription drug pills after his arrest at Boardman-Canfield Road and Fairground Boulevard.

AUSTINTOWN

July 11

Arrest: Police charged Bryan Konbylanski, 25, of 4303 Kerrybrook Drive, Youngstown with obstructing official business and resisting arrest at Nantucket Boulevard and Burkey Road.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: Cash and pills were stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 40 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Theft: Cash and DVDs were stolen at a home in the 2000 block of Spring Meadow Circle.

Warrant: Police arrested Dion Matthews, 18, of 4790 Heritage Drive, Canfield on a charge of retaliation against an Austintown officer who had arrested him in a June 28 incident. The suspect allegedly made threats on Facebook against the officer, and that he would have forcible intercourse with the officer’s wife and/or daughter.

Theft: A Phantom fireworks set was stolen from Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: Entry was gained through an attached garage at home in the 5000 block of New Road.

Theft: A wallet containing $50, an Ohio license and a fitness center pass key was stolen at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

July 12

Arrest: Police charged Sincearae “Cindy” Opatken, 47, of 1623 Florence Ave., Youngstown with criminal trespassing and drug paraphernalia at Pilot, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Forgery: A check was forged at a home in the 1000 block of Idaho Road.

Theft: Aluminum tool items were stolen at a home in the 1000 block of Celeste Circle.

Fraud: A woman from the 4000 block of Westchester Drive reported receiving a phone call that she had won a $2.5 million Powerball jackpot and was asked to send $345 to insure it. She also received a call the next day asking for another $1,000.

Breaking and entering: An electric meter was pulled in a vacant building in the 3000 block of Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Daniel Uncapher, 18, of 1340 Youll Drive was arrested on charges of stealing two magazines at Walmart and on a warrant for probation violation.

Theft: An Xbox 360, two controllers, a Kinect system and an undetermined number of games were stolen at a home in the 5000 block of Willowcrest Drive.

Fraud: A fraudulent transaction was reported at a home in the 6000 block of Ruby Court.

July 13

Theft: Police issued a summons to Johnathan Deeds, 19, of 3636 Maplewood Drive, Liberty for theft at the P.C. Doctor, 3710 Mahoning Ave. and for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Recovered property: A men’s wallet was returned to its owner.

Theft: Wind chimes were taken in the 100 block of Javit Court.

Identity theft: The theft was reported for a person who lives at a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.

Burglary: A television was stolen from an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Theft: Two dogs were stolen from a home in the 100 block of South Edgehill Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A screen was cut out at an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.

July 14

Robbery: A driver was assaulted and $110 was taken by five men at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Criminal trespassing: Heather Opatken, 20, of 1623 Florence Ave., Youngstown was issued a summons for trespassing at Pilot, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Menacing: The crime was reported in the 4800 block of Woodridge Drive.

Disturbance: Numerous subjects were involved in a disturbance at Austintown Junior Soccer League, 805 Ohltown Road.

July 15

Warrant: Police issued a warrant to Harry Ferranti, 55, of 3229 South Ave., Youngstown for failure to appear on a traffic charge at Burger King, 5310 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A Toro lawnmower was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Acton Avenue.

Theft: A motor cover was stolen from an auto at Bob and Chuck Eddy’s, 4850 Mahoning Ave.

Bench warrant: Police arrested Michael Malagasi, 29, of 3838 Cumberland Drive, for failure to appear on a probation violation.

Recovered property: Two coils of wires were recovered in the 1000 block of North Meridian Road.

Burglary: A Garmin GPS was stolen from a vehicle in the garage at a home in the 2000 block of Penny Lane.

Theft: A mailbox was stolen from a home in the 70 block of North Turner Road.

Warrant: Police arrested William Bednar, Jr., 55, of 850 N. Meridian Road, Apt. 309, on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense.

Identity theft: A Sprint account was opened using the victim’s personal information.

July 16

Domestic violence: Police arrested Joseph LaGamba, 48, of 579 Notre Dame Drive on the charge.

Aggravated menacing: Police charged Carmen Hudson,42, of 68 Lilburne Drive, Youngstown with the crime after her arrest at the Babylon, 114 Javit Court.

Criminal damaging: A window was damaged at an apartment in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: A cellphone was stolen at the 2000 block of Spring Meadow Circle.

July 17

Burglary: A total of $300 was taken but there were no signs of forced entry at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Warrant: Police issued a warrant to Gennaro Brocious, 23, of 453 Wilcox Road, No. 5, on a summons for drug abuse of marijuana and a warrant for criminal trespass, drug paraphernalia.

Burglary: There were no signs of forced entry but an undetermined amount of money was taken from a home in the 2000 block of Penny Lane.

Criminal damaging: A screen was damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Theft: Numerous items were taken from an auto parked at Best Western, 870 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: A Weber grill was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
