NorTech to host networking event

NorTech Energy Enterprise will host a free networking event on energy storage and smart grid from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration.

The event will offer those interested the opportunity to learn about the outcomes of the road-mapping process, provide feedback and a chance to meet others interested in the sectors.

Webinar to focus on federal funding

The JumpStart Entrepreneurial Network and the Ohio Aerospace Institute will host an online seminar for those interested in obtaining federal funding for new or early-stage companies.

The webinar will take place from 2 to 3:30 p.m. July 26 on JumpStart’s website, www.jumpstartinc.org. Those interested will learn about funding eligibility requirements and learn about assistance programs offered by federal agencies.

The event is free, but registration is required by visiting JumpStart’s website.

Registration open for B2B Conference

Registration is open for the 2011 Advanced Energy B2B Conference & Expo, which takes place Sept. 14 and 15 at the John S. Knight Center.

The conference offers the opportunity for those interested to meet new clients, learn from industry experts and interact with exhibitors representing sectors of the advanced-energy industry.

There is a standard cost of $175 to attend. There is a discount for those who register before July 31. NorTech Cluster Members and chamber of commerce members are eligible to receive a discount registration of $140.
