Coast Guard rescues 28-year-old man from Lake Erie

CLEVELAND (AP) — Coast Guard officials say a 28-year-old man was rescued from Lake Erie near the Fairport Light Breakwall.

The Coast Guard’s Fairport station received a call at about 6 p.m. Thursday saying that a man had fallen off his watercraft and was drifting toward the breakwall.

The man, who was not identified, was rescued and his craft was recovered. He was not injured.
