Trust, bowling fundraiser honor teacher’s memory

Friends and family of Michael Soroka’s have established a charitable trust to honor his commitment to Campbell students.

Contributions from the trust will be used for scholarships for Campbell Memorial High School students.

Soroka, a high school calculus and multimedia teacher, died suddenly in April.

Those who wish to contribute can send checks to the Michael R. “Mickey” Soroka Charitable Trust, P.O. Box 6, Campbell, OH 44405.

Make checks payable to the Mickey Soroka Trust. Donors will be given receipts.

Include requests for more information or offers to volunteer with donations.

A bowl-a-thon to benefit the trust will be Sunday at Bell Wick Bowl, 6105 W. Liberty St., Hubbard.

Registration begins at 4 p.m. with bowling from 5 to 8 p.m. The entry fee is $20 per person, which includes two games, shoe rental, food, beverages and open raffle ticket. There also will be a silent auction.
