US women lead 3-1 in WWC semifinals

GERMANY — The U.S. women's soccer team led France 3-1 in the 85th minute in the semifinals of the Women's World Cup soccer championship.

If the U.S. team holds on, they will be in the World Cup finals. The Americans last won the World Cup in 1999.
