Golf outing will honor late Dr. Earnest Perry
Youngstown Golf Club members are kicking off an annual golf outing in memory of Dr. Earnest Perry to provide scholarships to medical students. Members of the Youngstown Golf Club, known as the Yo-Go’s, are making preparations with golf pro Chris Carfangia for a Dr. Earnest Perry Memorial Golf Outing, scheduled for July 22 at Pine Lakes Golf Club.
The golf outing, which will go on rain or shine, is planned in memory of the late surgeon, community leader and former Youngstown State University trustee.
The three-person scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The fee to enter is $85 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, a shared cart, refreshments and dinner.

Proceeds from the event will provide scholarships for students enrolled in medical school.
Friends, associates and colleagues of the late Dr. Perry are urged to help establish the medical scholarship fund by serving as sponsors and participating in the fundraiser. Sponsorships available are $1,500, platinum; $1,000, gold; $500, silver; and $250, bronze. A sponsor acknowledgement is $100.
