Business expo dates

AUSTINTOWN

The Austintown Business Expo, which will feature more than 20 businesses, will take place on three Thursdays beginning this Thursday.

Other dates include Aug. 4 and Aug. 18. All three expos will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive.

Admission to the job fair expo is free. There will be products and services to improve financial and physical health, clothing accessories, pet care, hobbies and crafts and low-cost food items.

Proceeds will benefit the senior center and Awesome-town Festival in October.

Inventors group schedules meeting

LIBERTY

The Youngstown & Warren Inventors Association will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Liberty Township Administration Building, 1315 Church Hill-Hubbard Road.

Guest speaker will be Clovis A. Linkous, Ph.D., associate professor at Youngstown State University. Linkous will give a presentation on the electric-powered car. The meeting is free.

Quaker Steak will hire 150 workers

BOARDMAN

The newly expanded Quaker Steak & Lube at The Shops at Boardman Park, plans to hire 150 new hourly employees.

QS&L will host a two-day job fair Monday and Tuesday; the first day will be at the Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave., and the second at the new QS&L, 435 Boardman-Poland Road.

Those interested should bring a r sum . Times are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. both days.

Applications can be filled out on-site or picked up in advance from the trailer at the site of the new location.

Giant Eagle app

Giant Eagle announced this week the addition of an iPhone application that lets customers download electronic offers.

The app also allows customers to find the nearest Giant Eagle location, build online shopping lists and load special deals onto their Giant Eagle Advantage Card.
