Scrappers fall to Williamsport

The Mahoning Valley Scrappers scored two runs in the first inning and were blanked the rest of the way, falling to the Williamsport Crosscutters 6-2 in a New York-Penn League game on Sunday.

Alex Lavisky went 2-for-3 with the Scrappers’ only RBI and Tony Wolters had two hits, two stolen bases and a run. Wolters stole one of those bases after his one-out single in the first. He then advanced to third on a throwing error and scored on a wild pitch.
