Dwayne De Rosario scored in the 61st minute to lift D.C. United to a win over New York. De Rosario, playing against the Red Bulls for the first time since they traded him to United for Dax McCarty on June 27, juked past Roy Miller before slamming a left-footed shot from the box past goalkeeper Greg Sutton. It was De Rosario’s fourth goal of the season and his first in two games since the trade. Bill Hamid had four saves for United (5-5-7), which was 0-1-6 in its previous seven games. Sutton finished with two saves for the Red Bulls (6-4-10).
Dynamo 2, Toronto FC 0
HOUSTON
Danny Cruz and Geoff Cameron scored to lead the Houston Dynamo. Houston extended its unbeaten streak to three games but won its first game since a victory over Chivas USA on June 11. Toronto FC (3-9-9) lost its second straight and fourth in its last five games. Cruz gave Houston (5-6-8) a 1-0 lead in the 50th minute. Taking a give-and-go from Brian Ching at midfield, Cruz dribbled into the right box on a breakaway and fired a shot from 8 yards out that went off the leg of Stefan Frei and inside the far post. Cameron sent a blast into the center of the net from 8 yards out in the 81st minute to make it 2-0.
Bravo’s late goal lifts KC to draw with Chivas USA

KANSAS CITY, Kan.
Omar Bravo scored on a header in the third minute of second-half stoppage time, lifting Sporting Kansas City to a draw. Kansas City (5-6-7) extended its unbeaten streak to 4-0-6 since a loss at Seattle on May 21.
