Atty., Mrs. Wright celebrate 50th at family dinner

CANFIELD

Atty. and Mrs. James R. Wright of Canfield celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 9 at a catered family dinner at Hunters Woods Community Room in Canfield.

Hosts for the celebration were the couple’s three children, Mary C. Wright of Davis, Calif.; Jenny E. Wright of Struthers; and Michael J. Wright of Canfield. The Wrights’ three grandchildren round out the family.

Mrs. Wright, the former Myra E. Flynn, worked for her husband as a legal secretary in Columbiana before retiring in 2010. She is a member of the Mahoning Valley Civil War Round Table. From 1954 to 1956, Mrs. Wright was a U.S. Army civilian employee in Germany.

Atty. Wright was in private law practice for 50 years in Columbiana before retiring in 2010. He also is a member of the Mahoning Valley Civil War Round Table. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1955 as a lieutenant and was a supply and disbursing officer.

On July 8, 1961, the Wrights were married at Christ the King Church in Cleveland.

They are members of St. Michael Church.
