2 men injured in I-76 crash
LAKE MILTON
Two men were injured in a one-car crash on Interstate 76 that closed traffic on the busy highway.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the driver of a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria lost control of the vehicle around 3:45 p.m. Saturday while traveling westbound. The car slid off the left side of the road and landed on its roof in the median.
Traffic was stopped in both directions for a short period of time in order for a helicopter to land and take the vehicle’s injured passenger to St. Elizabeth Health Center, the OSHP said.
The passenger was in stable condition late Saturday; the driver suffered minor injuries, the OSHP said.
A patrol dispatcher said the men’s names were not available, but both are in their 70s. The accident is under investigation.

Racing license
NEW CASTLE, Pa.
The Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission has set a special meeting for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to consider transferring the Valley View Downs harness-racing license from Centaur LLC of Indianapolis to the proposed racetrack’s new owner, American Harness Tracks LLC of Pittsburgh.
The transfer would be the next step in making the long-awaited racetrack/casino project a reality. It is to be located near U.S. Route 422 and Pa. Route 551 in Mahoning Township.
If American Harness gets the license, it would then need to obtain a gaming license for casino slots from the Pennsylvania Gaming Commission.
American Harness bought Valley View Downs in a bankruptcy auction.
