Police looking for man who assaulted woman in Wick Park
YOUNGSTOWN — Police are trying to determine who sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman in Wick Park earlier this week.
According to police reports, the woman told officers she was walking home from Youngstown State University at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and decided to take a shortcut through Wick Park. Reports do not say if the woman is a student.
The woman told officers she was grabbed from behind, punched in the face and forced to the ground by a black man. The man, reports said, covered the woman’s mouth and fondled her under her clothes.
The woman, reportedly, bit the attacker forcing him to let her mouth go. The woman began screaming and the attacker ran away. The woman was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for observation.
