No fireworks show after St. Christine Church festival

YOUNGSTOWN — St. Christine Church has decided not to have a fireworks show this year after its annual parish festiva ends Sunday.

“Its a big expense, and we questioned whether it’s worth it,” said Rev. David Rhodes. “We wanted to cut costs.”

Rhodes said normally the church spent about $4,000 annually on fireworks.
