Gov. Kasich set to name nonprofit job-creation panel
COLUMBUS (AP) — Ohio’s new semi-private job creation panel has set its first meeting for Monday and Republican Gov. John Kasich is expected to announce the board’s line-up at that time.
JobsOhio’s plans were announced today by the Ohio Department of Development.
Spokeswoman Bethany McCorkle says a portion of the two-hour meeting will be devoted to appointing the board’s nine members. The governor is expected to be present, along with the new members.
Kasich’s jobs czar Mark Kvamme, a Silicon Valley venture capitalist he enlisted to help energize the economy, is among those who could be named.
