Jason Revesz picked up the win for Sugar, giving up two runs on five hits in six innings, striking out seven. Tony Mehle pitched a perfect seventh inning for his second save of the playoffs. G.J. Senchak had a hit, an RBI and scored two runs to lead Sugar.

Ryan Gallagher tossed five innings of shutout baseball, giving up two hits and striking out four. Kyle Tisdale had two hits, an RBI and scored a run to help lead a balanced Astro attack.

Sam Pitzulo Homes and Livi Steel were tied 3-3 and were to resume play in the top of the eighth inning Thursday. Livi leads the series 1-0.

P. I. & I. Express scored four in the bottom of the fourth for a 4-2 victory. Dave Patrick drove in a pair with a double and Cory Hitt had a RBI single in the win for Express.

Matt DiMuzio improved to 3-0 with a one-hit performance on the mound. Rick DiMuzio went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs.

The Marlins scored three times in the bottom of the seventh, but fell short in the comeback attempt, losing to the Redbirds, 7-3. Champion was led by Eric Smith, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Ashley Fuller was the winning pitcher with six strikeouts in the 9-10 girls Class A district tournament championship. Gia DiRenzo and Gia DiFabio each had three RBIs, while Kaitlyn Sciortino had three hits and Erin Murphy had two. Kayla Kelty added a double, while Sydney Ferguson drove in one run, Ryleigh Morgan hit a single, Alli Dilts had a triple and Courtney Schwind excelled on defense. Coaches of the team were Deb Fuller, Karen Kozbial, Mike Sciortino and Sam Kozbial.
