Police caught a robbery suspect with the help of the department’s police dog. After a chase around 8 p.m. Tuesday through backyards on Breetz Drive, police captured Clifford Raynovich, 32, of Tremble Avenue. He is charged with robbery, obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
Police were called to the Rite Aid on McCartney Road after a man reached over the counter while the cash register was open, grabbed money and took off toward Coitsville Road. Police saw him and tried to stop him, but he fled through yards.
The Campbell police dog arrived, and Raynovich was ordered to stop but kept running. The dog brought him to the ground and police recovered $545 in cash, a store money order and a candy bar. He is being held in the municipal jail without bond.
