God gets the last word
God gets the last word
This letter is in response to an opinion piece written by seminarian student T.J. Williams and submitted by Editor Ernie Brown Jr. on June 4 that speaks out on gay rights.
With all due respect to these gentlemen, they are absolutely wrong about God’s Word on homosexuality (Editor Brown’s implications seem to agree with the tone of T.J. Williams’ piece). No one has the right to sin against his/her own body: not a prostitute, not an adulterer, not a homosexual. We belong to God not ourselves.
The question is not “Does God love homosexuals?” He does just the same as He loves the liar, cheater, thief, murderer, and pedophile. Hate the sin but love the sinner, unfortunately most professed Christians do not practice this.
The Bible clearly condemns homosexuality (Rom 1:18-32) because its unnatural and not part of God’s original plan.
No one who continues to sin will ever see the Kingdom of Heaven (I John 3:4-10).
