Girard teen hurt trying to make chemical bomb

girard — Dylan Herrick, 16, of the 100 block of Crumlin Avenue, was flown to Akron Children’s Hospital burn unit Wednesday afternoon after a chemical bomb he was attempting to make exploded and injured him.

When police arrived, they found Dylan with a towel over his face and he told them he couldn’t see. He was first taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
