Traffic rises 14th straight month at Pittsburgh International Airport

PITTSBURGH — Traffic at Pittsburgh International Airport rose for the 14th consecutive month in May, according to statistics released by Allegheny County Airport Authority.

Year-to-date traffic increased 5.6 percent and May’s passenger total was 4.7 percent higher than in April.

Additional flights and increasing aircraft size were two influential growth factors cited by the airport authority, and Delta Airlines has added 33 weekly flights at the airport since last May.
