Garden Forum funds will help students grow

YOUNGSTOWN

The Garden Forum of Greater Youngstown presented two $500 scholarships at the June Flower Show at the Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.

Presenting the awards were Mary Shall, president, and Patricia Feindt, scholarship chairwoman, to Karen Fullerman and Emily Conrad.

Fullerman, of Twinsburg, Ohio, has completed two years of a four-year degree at Cuyahoga Community College, where she is majoring in plant science and garden center management.

Conrad, of Louisville, Ohio, is a June graduate of Marlington High School and will be attending the Kent State Salem Branch in the fall. She will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree while majoring in horticulture.
