FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

WEDNESDAY

Southington United Methodist Church, routes 305 and 534, will have a chicken dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The meal includes a quarter chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, homemade desserts and a beverage. Cost for adults is $7.50; a children’s meal with chicken tenders (ages 4 to 10) is $4, and ages 3 and under eat free. Carryouts will be available. Call the church at 330-898-2156, and dinners will be ready for pickup.

THURSDAY

St. Michael Orthodox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, will not have its Chinese lunches this week. The church will be represented at the YSU Summer Festival of the Arts on Friday and Saturday. Thursday lunches will resume July 14.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

Fowler United Methodist Church will sell chicken pie dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Cost for adults will be $8; for ages 6 to 12, $4; and preschoolers, free. Meals include potato, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, bread, dessert and a beverage. Takeouts will be available. Call 330-368-5189.

SUNDAY

Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, will serve pancake breakfasts from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meals include sausage and a beverage. Cost for adults is $6; for children under 11, it’s $3. The dinner is sponsored by VUMC Youth Group. The church is handicap accessible.

UPCOMING

Community of Faith Credit Union is having a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. July 30. Tickets are $6 per adult and $3 per child under 10. For tickets call 330-743-6438 or email haynesam@aol.com.

Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will have a drive-through dinner July 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Place your order on the north side of the church and pick it up on the south side. Meals include stuffed chicken breast with gravy, baked potato with sour cream, green beans and a brownie for $6.
