Cops comb city for more than 60 drug-trafficking suspects
YOUNGSTOWN — Several teams of law-enforcement agents fanned out across the Youngstown area this morning to begin arresting more than 60 people on charges related to heroin and cocaine trafficking.
Federal, state and local law enforcement leaders said they would announce details of federal and state indictments against people charged with bringing heroin and cocaine into Youngstown and related charges at a 3 p.m. news conference in City Council Chambers at City Hall.
U.S. Atty. Steven M. Dettelbach and Mayor Jay Williams will join city police and officials of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in making the announcement.
