ACH twilight runs/walks will raise funds for hospice

Alliance Community Hospital Foundation is sponsoring Steppin’ Out for Hospice 5K Twilight Run/Walk and a 1K kids Run/Walk on Aug. 20.

The 1K will begin at 7 p.m. and the 5K, at 7:45. The starting line is in front of the hospital’s main entrance, 200 E. State St.

Same-day registration will be from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Parking will be available in the ACH parking lot 8, between College and Rice streets and the plaza at the Northeast corner of State Street and Union Avenue.

Race packets can be picked up in the hospital cafe from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 19 or from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 20.

All runners and walkers who register by Aug. 13 will receive T-shirts, and food and drinks will be provided after the race. Same-day registrants will not be guaranteed a T-shirt.

For the 5K, the fee is $20 for early registration and $25 for race-day registration. For the 1K, the fee is $10 for early registration, $15 on event day.

Awards will go to The top three male and female overall finishers of the 5K Run/Walk and the top three boy and girl finishers of the 1K Fun Run/Walk (ages 10 and under). Participation medals will go to all the children in the 1K.
