Free comedy show at Cedars Lounge

YOUNGSTOWN

The Reverse Cowboy sketch comedy troupe returns to Cedars Lounge at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to perform a full set of sketches for a free event sponsored by the Youngstown Comedy Syndicate. The night will also include a set by Cleveland-based stand-up comedian Bill Boronkay. Tyler Ross and Victoria Bussberg (of the “Wake Up Hungover” show on Black Squirrel Radio) are slated to perform as well.

Polish Evening includes jam session

NEW CASTLE, Pa.

The third annual Polish Evening Celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m. July 14 at the Moose Lodge, 29 S. Mercer St. The free event is sponsored by the American Polish Central Committee.

Interested musicians can bring their instruments for the jam session, featuring accordionist Kevin Solecki. Vocals will be provided by WKST radio personality Ray Kolodziej, who will also be emcee. Slovak Fest will include dinners

Mahoning Valley Slovak Fest wil be Aug. 14 from noon to 9 p.m. at St. Matthias Church, 915 Cornell St. It will begin with a polka mass at 11:30 a.m. Food will include holubky, lamb, pirohy, halusky, kolbasa and sauerkraut. Chicken, lamb and holubky dinners will be served from noon to 3 p.m. Bands will include Eddie Vallus from 1-3 p.m. and Del Sinchak from 4-8 p.m.
