Ryan says he’ll introduce legislation to fund science, tech programs in schools
YOUNGSTOWN — U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan said he plans to introduce legislation in Congress to provide federal funding for robotic and other science and technology programs for school systems.
Ryan made the announcement today at Oh Wow! The Roger and Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology in downtown Youngstown.
Ryan of Niles, D-17th, admitted it will be difficult to get federal funding for this program in the current political climate that “any government investment is wasteful.” But Ryan called that notion “nonsense.”
