Crash kills two in Portage Co.

WINDHAM — Jeffrey L. Starkey, 60, of Warren was not injured when his dump truck collided with a car at 7:30 a.m. today on state Route 303, killing the two people in the car.

The names of the two victims were not yet being released by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Starkey’s truck was westbound on 303 and struck an eastbound Ford Taurus on the passenger side as it turned north onto Stanley Road. The occupants of the Taurus were not wearing seat belts and were taken to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s office.
