3 men killed in Ohio crash

HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) — Police say a car ran off a road and crashed in southwest Ohio, killing three men in the vehicle.

Police Lt. John Nethers in Hamilton says the crash Monday afternoon killed 19-year-old Cody Mazuk of Cincinnati, 18-year-old Jeremiah Fischer of Fairfield and 19-year-old Christopher Drummond of Cincinnati.

Police say Mazuk was driving and trying to pass other traffic when the car ran off the left side of the road, went airborne and crashed into trees and rocks.

A police statement today said Mazuk and one his passengers died at the scene. The other passenger was pronounced dead at a Cincinnati hospital.

Nethers says initial findings indicate speed was a factor. The investigation is continuing in the city about 35 miles north of Cincinnati.
