SENIOR CITIZENS

Ajax Magnethermic Retirees will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the home of the Moores, 1552 Walker Mill Road, Poland, for a picnic. Wives and guests are welcome.

Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet for lunch at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. A member of The Green Team will deliver a program about landfills and oversee a craft project. Guests are invited to attend; phone Betsy Koneval, president, at 330-793-7755 to reserve lunch at a cost of $10. Greeters are Dorothy Wood and Carolyn Steiner. The Happy Seniors are a group of retirees, ages 55 and up, from the Cornersburg, Austintown, Canfield and Boardman areas who meet monthly for lunch and either a guest speaker or bingo. Guests are welcome. Yearly dues are $5.

Freetimers, Youngstown State University retirees, will have their monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Denny’s Restaurant on Route 224 in Boardman. All retirees and their friends are welcome.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Bob Ferrara will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. Sts. Cyril and Methodius Seniors will meet after the 11:30 a.m. Mass on July 14 in the social hall. A brunch will be served at noon, and birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. A money raffle also will take place, followed by bingo. Reservations are necessary by July 10. Call Jack Ziemianski at 330-782-1848. New members are welcome.

St. Nicholas Senior Citizens will have a luncheon meeting at 11 a.m. July 12 in Great Hall with Laverne Cox presiding. Reservations are required and can be made until Wednesday by sending a check for $8, payable to St. Nicholas Seniors, to Lora Opsitnik, 138 Iroquois St., Struthers, OH 44471. Membership dues of $5 are now payable. All senior citizens are welcome.
