Osteopathic graduate

Kyra A. Dawson, daughter of Helen Dawson Bednarczyk of Columbiana and the late William A. Dawson, and stepdaughter of Skip Bednarczyk of Columbiana, recently graduated from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

A graduate of Westerville North High School, Dr. Dawson earned her bachelor’s degree at Ohio State University and master’s degree at Cleveland State University. She has started her residency in surgery at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

Residence to begin

Clayton C. Petro, formerly of Campbell, has received his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

He has been accepted into the surgical residency program at University Hospitals Case Western Medical Center in Cleveland.

Dr. Petro is a 2003 graduate of Ursuline High School and a 2007 magna cum laude graduate of John Carroll University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry. Dr. Petro is the son of Bernard and Janet Petro of Campbell.
