Melissa Sullivan and Joseph McKenney, both of Youngstown, exchanged wedding vows in a March 25 ceremony in the Ann Christman Memorial Hall of Stambaugh Auditorium. The reception followed at the Stambaugh ballroom.
She is the daughter of James Sullivan of Youngstown and Geraldine Sullivan of Austintown, and he is the son of Kelly McKenney of Youngstown.
The bride wore a white strapless satin A-line gown with a side-draped bodice and clover green sash at the waist.
Wearing clover green gowns were the honor attendant, Kelly Sullivan, sister of the bride; and the bridesmaids, Kelly Bees, Kristen Bielik, Kristin Tatarka, Lisa Bielik, Erin Whitacre and Larisa Hull, and the junior bridesmaid, Mayson Jenkins. Serving as flower girl was Olivia Jones, cousin of the bride.
James Bielik served as best man, and groomsmen were James Sullivan, brother of the bride; William McKenney, brother of the groom; Ken Bielik; David Cutlip; Thomas Hull; and Steven Manna, cousin of the bride.
The bride graduated with a master’s degree from Youngstown State University. She is employed as a student services representative for National College and YSU.
The groom attends YSU, studying for a degree in chemistry. He is employed at FedEx in North Jackson.
