Drive-by shooting injures 3 in city

Police are continuing to investigate a South Side shooting that sent three people to the hospital.

The shooting occurred around 10:45 p.m. Friday at an East Florida Avenue home, police said.

A 19-year-old man from Jacobs Road was shot in the leg, and an 18-year-old man who resided in the East Florida Avenue home was wounded in his foot, reports state.

Police said a woman whose identity has not been released already had been taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown for treatment before officers arrived.

A 41-year-old woman and 15-year-old boy were at the location during the shooting, as well, according to reports.

The victims were standing in the driveway and told police that a dark colored sport-utility vehicle drove in front of the house and opened fire, reports state.

Police said they recovered shell casings in the driveway where the victims were standing and in the roadway.
