Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will run on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline. Who: Austintown Baptist Church.

What: “The Big Apple” is the theme.

When: 5:30 to 8 p.m. July 11-15.

Where: Church, 1180 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown.

Details: Participants in first (5 years old this year) through sixth grade may attend. Call the church at 330-792-9532 for information.

Who: Chestnut Ridge Church of God.

What: “SonSurf Beach Bash” is the theme.

When: 6 to 9 p.m. July 11-15.

Where: Church, 7215 Chestnut Ridge Road, Hubbard.

Details: There will be crafts, games, Bible songs and snacks. Participants who registers by 4 p.m. Thursday and has perfect attendance will receive a free T-shirt and music CD. There will be a closing picnic July 17 with water fun. Call the church at 330-534-0084.

Who: Poland Presbyterian Church.

What: Egyptian marketplace is the theme.

When: 6 to 8 p.m. July 18-22.

Where: Church on the green.

Details: Children and adults will step back in time as they follow Joseph’s journey from prison to palace. There will be worship, games, music and Egyptian food. Participants will be making blankets for area nursing homes. For more information, call the church at 330-757-1547.

Who: Mount Zion Baptist Church.

What: “Jesus Family Reunion” is the theme.

When: 6 to 8 p.m. July 11-15.

Where: Church, 827 Wilson Ave., Youngstown.

Details: The free intergenerational program will feature Bible lessons, crafts, games and snacks. The closing ceremony will be July 16 at Wick Park Pavilion during family and friends day picnic. For information and registration, call 330-746-3601.

Who: St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.

What: “Shake It Up Caf ” is the theme.

When: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and July 14, 21 and 28.

Where: Church, 159 Todd Ave., Hermitage, Pa.

Details: The intergenerational program will include Bible lessons, crafts, games and snacks. A potluck supper will be July 28. No registration is required.

Who: Zion Hill Baptist Church.

What: “Inside Out, Upside Down on Main Street”’ is the theme.

When: 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 11-15.

Where: Church, 220 Jefferson St., Youngstown.

Details: Transportation will be provided as needed, but advance arrangements are necessary. Call the church at 330-746-3832 for transportation and registration. Activities include classes, refreshments, crafts, recreation and music. Participants may be from 3 to 18 years old. Donation accepted.
