St. Patrick students participate in spelling bee

Students at St. Patrick School in Hubbard recently participated in a spelling bee to determine who would represent the school at The Vindicator Spelling Bee at Youngstown State University. Youngsters in grades four through eight competed for the honor as fellow classmates, family and friends watched. After many rounds, Marie Bond, a sixth-grade student, at right, was declared the winner, and Michaella Huber, a seventh-grade student, at left, was the runner up. Sharing the excitement of the moment with the winners is Cindy Lacko, the school principal.
