Dinner to benefit Kennedy children

A spaghetti dinner has been planned for Thursday as a memorial to Pam Kennedy, who was killed in a car accident, and as a benefit for her children.

Doors will open at 5:30 and dinners will be served from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Embassy, 5030 Youngstown Poland Road.

Included in the evening will be a basket auction, a 50-50 raffle, dancing and music. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Tickets for children are $7. Donations for the auction or dinner will be appreciated.

Stress relief advice

CANFIELD

Sister Pauline Dalpe will provide advice on stress relief and ways to deal with the anxiety of being unemployed when she speaks at the 9:30 a.m. Wednesday meeting of the Support Group for Unemployed/Underemployed People.

Available at the meeting will be coffee, fellowship, encouragement and helpful information for those searching for jobs.

The support group meets each Wednesdy at the Ursuline Center and is a ministry of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown.

Arctic Chili Open at Argus Park

CANFIELD

The 11th annual Argus Arctic Chili Open will be from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 12 at Argus Park, 5050 Shields Road.

A variety of chili will be available for a donation of $5. The park will be transformed into a golf challenge for an additional $5 donation.

There will be a basket auction and other activities. Proceeds will be donated to Mahoning County D.D. Special Olympics.
