Eric Schiele scored 27 points off the bench to lead the Cavaliers (22-0, 11-0 American Mideast Conference), who are ranked No. 1 in the NAIA. Jock Rottman had 15 for Malone (15-9, 8-4).

EDINBORO, PA.

Riding a career-high 33-point effort from Maron Brown, Slippery Rock (14-6, 4-2) was able to hold off a late charge in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West contest. Brown also had 15 rebounds, while Jabril Bailey had 17 points, Devin Taylor had 12 and Tommy Kelly scored 10. Danny Walsh scored 19 points for the Scots (10-10, 2-4).

Hiram 78, Denison 60

HIRAM

Aaron Stefanov scored 14 points off the bench to lead Hiram (10-9, 4-6 North Coast Athletic Conference), which outscored Denison 46-28 in the second half. Dimonde Hale scored 13 and Mike Garabedian had 11 for Denison (6-14, 3-8).

Thiel 53, Washington & Jefferson 44

GREENVILLE, PA.

Thiel outscored the Presidents 11-0 to end the game and stay unbeaten at home. Blair Rozenblad (Kennedy Catholic) led the Tomcats with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Lance Randall (Ursuline) had 11 points while Aundra Jones (Kennedy Catholic) added nine points and four blocks. Thiel is 13-6, 8-2 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference.

BETHANY, W.VA.

Junior forward British Alexander had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Bethany (14-5), which limited Geneva to its second-lowest output of the season. Dave Phillips and Richard Colick each had 12 for Geneva (14-5).

Grove City 46, Waynesburg 39

WAYNESBURG, PA.

Kris Verderber scored 12 points for Grove City (5-14, 2-8 PAC), which outscored Waynesburg 9-2 down the stretch. Jeff Young led Waynesburg (5-14, 2-7) with 14 points.

Adam Johns scored a season-high 20 points off the bench and Tyler Munro added 17 for Capital (14-5, 9-3 Ohio Athletic Conference), which handed the Purple Raiders their third straight league loss. Jimmy Wood scored a season-high 22 points for Mount Union (8-11, 6-6).

NEW WILMINGTON, PA.

Freshman guard Christian Shea scored a game-high 19 points for Westminster (4-16, 1-9 PAC). Brian Muse had 15 points for Thomas More (11-8, 7-2).

ALLIANCE

Rosa LaMattina finished with 19 points and six rebounds while Kori Wiedt contributed 18 points and five assists for the Purple Raiders (16-3, 9-3 Ohio Athletic Conference), who took a 40-17 lead into halftime. For the Crusaders (11-7, 6-6), Hilary Kuhns had 14 points.

Grove City 58, Waynesburg 44

WAYNESBURG, PA.

Elisha Jones led Waynesburg (14-5, 7-4 PAC) with 20 points. Jessi Drayer and Hannah Hunter each scored 11 for Wayensburg, which outscored Grove City 16-8 down the stretch to seal the win. Christine Slater led Grove City (10-9, 6-5) with 15 points.

Thiel 65, Washington & Jefferson 64

GREENVILLE, PA.

Kelly Muffley hit a jumper with seven seconds left to help Thiel end an 11-year home losing streak against the Presidents. Kelly Barzak (Howland) led the Tomcats (5-14, 3-7) with 18 points and 10 rebounds. She had four blocks and scored 13 of her points in the second half. Nina Gabrelcik (Niles) hit three 3-pointers off the bench.

Jessie Miller scored 17 points for the Cavaliers (18-4, 9-1). Caitlin Sharp had six points, four rebounds and two steals for the Pioneers (6-17, 2-8).

BETHANY, W.Va.

Christine Carugati scored 21 points and Geneva (8-11) took a 12-0 lead to start the game en route to victory. Valerie Hamilton and Aylse Scarsella each added 17 points. For the Bison (9-10), Anne Wilson scored 17 points, Katelynn Hackathorn had 14 points and eight rebounds.

Edinboro 77, Slippery Rock 38

EDINBORO, PA.

Morgyn Patterson led Edinboro with 13 points and seven rebounds as the Fighting Scots (15-3, 5-1 PSAC-West) opened up a 42-15 halftime lead and cruised to victory. Samantha Blazetic added 11 points and nine rebounds, while Hope Mancini also scored 11 points. Danielle Smith scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Slippery Rock (2-16, 0-6).

Denison 65, Hiram 49

HIRAM

Nicole Coggins scored 18 points to lead three Denison players in double figures in the NCAC game. Shaina Kiser added 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Big Red (19-0, 8-0), who held Hiram to 29 percent shooting. Calysia Smyers had 10 points to lead Hiram (11-8, 3-5).

Thomas Moore 53, Westminster 37

NEW WILMINGTON, PA

Senior center Nicole Dickman had 14 points and eight rebounds for Thomas More (19-0, 11-0), the nation’s top-rated team in Division III. Freshman Gabby Holko led the Titans (4-15, 0-11) with seven points. Westminster’s leading scorer, Kaitlin McCarthy (Lowellville), missed the last 18:40 after suffering an injury.
