Warrant charging passing bad checks issued for woman, 57

Staff report

BOARDMAN

A warrant was issued Wednesday for a 57-year-old township woman who already is in court on arson charges.

Sandra Williamson of Wolosyn Circle is charged with passing bad checks. Her landlord told Boardman police Tuesday that Williamson’s $525 rent check had a stop-payment on it even though funds were available in the bank.

She was charged Nov. 18 with two counts of arson after she was seen on a surveillance camera setting fire to two trash bins at 2020 Wolosyn Circle, the same apartment complex where she lives, police said.

Williamson posted $4,000 bond on her arson charges, and the bond stipulated she is not to violate any laws, such as passing bad checks, court records state.

A pretrial hearing in the arson case will take place Feb. 23.
