Dental associations will give kids a reason to smile

For the ninth year, dentists and dental professionals in the three-county area will donate their time and skills to detect and treat early-stage dental problems in underserved young school children during a “Give Kids a Smile Day.”

The event, sponsored by the American and Ohio dental associations, will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 4 at Choffin Career Center on Wood Street, Youngstown; at Dr. Jeffrey Caldwell’s office, 146 W. Fifth St., East Liverpool; and at the Dr. Madeleine Haggerty Dental Hygiene Program in the Dr. Dominic and Helen Bitonte School of Health and Human Services at Youngstown State University.

Dr. Sergio Nadler is committee chairman, and volunteers include dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants and staff.
