Howland school board seeks new member

HOWLAND

The Howland Local School District Board of Education will accept letters of interest until Feb. 11 from school district residents wishing to fill the unexpired term of Paul Dieter, who has announced he’s resigning from the board effective Jan. 31.

Dieter has resigned with one year left on his term in office to devote more time to his career, family and other interests, he told the board.

Board President Barbara Wright said Dieter “always put the education of Howland’s children first” and was a valuable resource because of his knowledge of facilities and construction.

Dieter is owner of PMD Builders of Warren.
