Police are investigating a home invasion where two adults and two children, age 8 and 9, were held at gunpoint and robbed.

According to police, a 48-year-old Lexington Avenue female and a 44-year-old Lexington Avenue man where at home with the woman’s two grandchildren at 5:30 p.m. Sunday when there was a knock at the door. The woman told police she opened the door and two masked men burst into the North Side home carrying firearms and demanding money.

Reports say the man told the intruders he did not have any money. One of the intruders then struck him on the head with the butt of the gun. The men then grabbed a video game system and took $170 from the couple.

Reports say the men were asking for a firearm they believed was in the house but ran away after being told there was no gun.

The man was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center for a gash to his head. The woman and children weren’t harmed. No arrests have been made.
