Antonio Woods scored 19 points for East in the loss. The Panthers (2-9) also got 14 points from Lee Johnson and 12 more from Kejuan Thomas. St. Thomas Aquinas (3-9) was paced by Kyle Dureska, who had a game-high 20 points.

Juniors Zatona Yancey and Mylesia Cotton had 14 and 12 points, respectively, while senior Laniece McRae and sophomore Chmick Kennedy had 11 points apiece for Chaney (8-5). Of their team’s 41 rebounds, Yancey and Marissa Dotson had eight apiece. Kennedy also had seven of Chaney’s 18 assists.

The Warriors (10-4, 8-2 Northeastern Buckeye Conference) handed the Leopards (13-1, 8-10) their first loss despite having Brandi Snyder and Rebekah Zets foul out. Snyder led the Warriors with 17 points including four 3-pointers. Zets had seven points while Andrea Wingett pulled down seven of 30 rebounds. For the Leopards, Alyssa Jones scored 14 points while Bri Libertore contributed 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Of the game’s 32 minutes, Campbell trailed for over 30. Youngstown Christian’s 21-12 halftime lead evaporated as Campbell made 9 of 13 free throws in the fourth period. Of the Red Devils’ 17 fourth-quarter points, Tiera Graves accounted for 11. Graves finished with a game-high 18. Caylin Hayes had 15 points for Youngstown Christian, which converted just 3 of 6 free throws in the fourth. The Eagles are 4-9.

Brookfield scored a 3-pointer by Tori Thompson and sank four free throws over the final final 1:22 to pull away from a 40-40 tie. Thompson finished with 16 points for the Warriors (6-9), while Lauren Hawley added 12. Shannon Show finished with five rebounds. Katie Hitchings led Niles (1-12) with 18 points, while Rachel Sussman scored 11.

Juniors Malina Howard had 16 points, sophomore Nicole Carman scored 11 and junior Char’dell Dunnigan had 10 points for the Lady Tigers. Courtney Powell’s 12 points paced Ursuline, which had a five-game winning streak snapped. The Irish (7-3) scored only five points in the opening quarter, then added just one more before halftime.
