Players needed for Heat
The 13U Mahoning Valley HEAT championship team is looking to fill one or two spots on the 2011 roster.

Gymnasts shine at Columbus Galaxy meet
The Level 7 through 10 USAG optional team from Youngstown Gymnastics Center competed Jan. 8-9 at the Galaxy meet in Columbus.
Faith Anderson was first on vault with a score of 8.95 and first on floor with a 9.2.
Rachel Gurgiolo took fourth place on vault with a 9.0 and Gabby Williams took third on vault with a score of 9.2 and third on bars with 9.050.
Jamie Sklenar (Canfield) placed third on vault with 9.075 and second on beam with an 8.8. Janae Shar placed fourth on floor with a score of 9.0 and she also took all-around.
Jen Sklenar (Canfield) earned second place on beam with 8.675 and Anna Warhol (Boardman) earned third on floor with 9.15. Hannah Estephan took fifth place on floor with 8.975 and Jessica Jones (Canfield) took first on floor with a score of 9.45 and first all-around. Allie Anderson (Canfield) took first place on beam with 8.95, first on floor with a 9.1 and second all-around.
Curbstone Coaches
The 2011 Curbstone Coaches Hall of Fame Banquet will be May 1 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center. There will be 16 new members enshrined during the ceremony. Tickets are $50 each and can be obtained by calling Edd Fowler, ticket chairman, at 330-506-9829, or by visiting www.curbstonecoaches.org.
