YSU loses to Wright State

YOUNGSTOWN — Macey Nortey’s 3-pointer attempt at the buzzer sailed wide as the Youngstown State women’s basketball team came up just short falling 64-61 to Wright State on Thursday night at the Beeghly Center.

Brandi Brown scored a game-high 23 points, including YSU’s final eight of the contest, but Wright State grabbed a 61-59 lead with just under three minutes remaining and the Penguins could not rally.
