Racetrack owner debates moving 2 Ohio facilities
TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — The owner of two Ohio racetracks says it’s debating whether to relocate the operations if doing so would improve revenue at the facilities.
Penn National Gaming Inc. owns Raceway Park in Toledo and Beulah Park in Grove City in suburban Columbus.
The Wyomissing, Pa.,-based company also is developing casinos in Columbus and East Toledo
The (Toledo) Blade reports today that Penn National expects a decision will be made soon.
Company spokesman Bob Tenenbaum says it’s no secret that all racetracks in Ohio are suffering economy difficulty.
Raceway Park features harness racing while Beulah Park features thoroughbred racing.
