Finamore announces run for Girard Municipal Court judge

VIENNA
Magistrate Mark S. Finamore of Vienna is announcing his candidacy for Girard Municipal Court judge in the May 3 primary. The general election will be Nov. 8.
The court’s jurisdiction is Girard, Liberty, Hubbard city and township, Vienna and Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Finamore has practiced law for 28 years, serving the last 24 years as the criminal, traffic and civil magistrate in Girard Municipal Court.
He serves as special legal council and law director for more than 40 township governments and boards in Northeast Ohio. This includes home-rule township law director of Liberty Township and home-rule legal counsel to Boardman Township.
Finamore is a former Vienna Township trustee of 20 years and former Fowler-Vienna school board member of four years.
He is a former faculty and course development committee member of the Ohio Supreme Court Judicial College.
He maintains a general private law practice in Warren.
Since 1977, he has been a certified deputy sheriff with the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office.
Finamore earned a juris doctorate degree from the Akron University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Youngstown State University, where he also studied in the master’s of business administration program. He also attended Miami University of Oxford.
Others who have announced their candidacy are attorneys Jeffrey D. Adler of Hubbard, Marty Hume of Liberty Township and Rebecca M. Gerson of Girard.
