Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The menu will include salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. Lockwood United Methodist Church, 4570 Lockwood Blvd., will host a free community dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today. Featured will be Lockwood zetti, salad, applesauce, dessert and beverages.

THURSDAY

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will sell takeout meatloaf dinners for $6 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Meals include scalloped potatoes, green beans and a cookie. FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling 330-746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at 330-788-0025 between 9-11:30 a.m. only. Pickup will be until 12:30 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza, and $5 for white pizza.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi Friday. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.

VFW Post 9571 on Ellsworth Road in Ellsworth will have an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Chicken fingers or shrimp will be available. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $7 for seniors.

SATURDAY

Brookfield United Methodist Church, 6951 Grove St., will have an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children 6 to 12. Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $4.50 for children 12 and under.

Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 420 Covington St., Youngstown, will celebrate its 100th anniversary by serving spaghetti dinners from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, dessert and beverage. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under.

Southington American Legion Post 751 will serve breakfasts of sausage and pancakes (all-you-can-eat pancakes), or biscuits and gravy, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the post, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, Southington. The donation is $5.50 for adults and $3 for children from 5 to 12. Those 4 and under eat free.

Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., will serve chicken paprikash dinners from 1 to 3 p.m. The cost is $8. Take your own container for takeouts and save the $1.25 container charge. Reservations will be taken at 330-792-5124 until Jan. 21.

Brookfield Township Fire Department will have its fifth annual wild game dinner Feb. 19 at Yankee Lake Ballroom, 1800 state Route 7 NE Brookfield. Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner will be at 6.
